The both teams to score/goals galore/goals rush bet has become very popular. The reason is simple, it is the best bet on the market! There are of course three possible outcomes of a game: win, lose or draw but with the ‘both teams to score’ bet, you have all the way up to the end of the match and your bet could still come in, even if the game in question is 5-0.  What I have done is applied a study to generate statistics to give you an idea of how and where to choose your selections and hopefully generate some good profit form this bet.

I have gone through all the games played so far this season (10th December of writing this article) in all the English divisions, including the Blue Square Premiership, the Spanish La Liga, German Bundesliga and Dutch Eredivisie.

I have provided the statistics for the score rate of the home teams.  When you select your games for your btts bet, it is of course wise to analyse the teams previous games and observe the ratio of how many of their games have seen both teams scoring. But also, an excellent method of choosing your both teams to score selections is weigh up the strength of the two teams. The home team has the advantage in the sense they are playing at their home ground and the stats show that the home team scores more often than not. Therefore, if the away team is considered the better side and they average roughly 1.5 goals or more away from home, logic suggests that both teams could score.

Here are the general stats.

Premiership:  home team has scored in 119 out of 145 games
Home team score rate:  82%
Both teams scored: 94 out 145 games
BTTS rate: 64.8%

Championship: home team has scored in 212 out of 252 home games.
Home team score rate: 84.1%
Both teams scored: 158 out 252 games
BTTS rate: 62.7%

League 1:  home team has scored in 192 out of 252 games
Home team score rate: 76.2%
Both teams scored: 138 out 252 games
BTTS rate:  54.8%

League 2:  home team has scored in 186 out of 252 games
Home team score rate:  73.8%
Both teams scored: 129 out of 252:
BTTS rate: 51.2%

Blue Square Premiership:  home team has scored in 213 out of 255 games
Home team score rate: 83.5%
Both team scored:  156 out of 255
BTTS rate:  61.2%

Spanish La Liga: home team has scored in 120 out of 149 games
Home team score rate:  80.5%
Both teams scored: 78 out of 149.
BTTS rate: 52.3%

German Bundesliga: home team scored in 111 out of 144 games.
Home team score rate: 77.1%
Both teams scored: 78 out  of 144
BTTS rate: 54.2%

Dutch Eredivisie: home team scored in 111 out of 144 games
Home team score rate: 77.1%
Both teams scored: 81 out of 144
BTTS rate: 56.3 %

As you can see the Premiership, Championship and the Blue Square premiership are the best fo rboth teams scoring. You will also have noticed the general high percentage of the home teams scoring in all games. If you consider the ‘home factor’, analyse btts ratio’s, recent form and look at goals for and against for both the home and away teams; you should be able to select games that, in theory, have a higher chance of btts than average.
